The long history of this Faubourg Marigny building has seen its space used for both residential use and active commerce. As Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, a wayward tornado swept through the neighborhood, removing the front of the building. The structure fell into disrepair following numerous renovation attempts and sat in neglect for over a decade. Acquired in 2016 by historic restoration developers Gregg and Michael Morris, this dilapidated building finally began its gradual rebirth.
